Contestant Submission Guidelines

​To enter, follow these simple steps:
  1. Record a Video: Submit a 30 second lip sync performance using any family-friendly song.
  2. Post Online: Upload to your social media page with the hashtag #ValeOregonTrailDays for community engagement.OR…
  3. Submit for Official Entry: Email, message, or text your submission link and basic info to [email protected].
  4. Selection & Notification: Finalists will be chosen based on creativity, energy, and audience appeal. Selected contestants to perform on July 3rd will be notified via email, messenger, or text by June 20th, 2025. If there are still slots available in the contest on July 3rd, signups will be allowed at the Vale Chamber Booth in Wadleigh Park at a first-come-first-served basis. ​

​Judging Categories & CriteriaOur judges will evaluate performances in the following categories:
  1. Best Overall Performance – Enthusiasm, synchronization, and stage presence.
  2. Most Creative Act – Unique costume choices, choreography, and originality.
  3. Crowd Favorite – Energy, audience engagement, and hype level.
Audience voting will play a role in choosing the winners, so bring your A-game!

Song Guidelines🎵 Performances should be:
  • Suitable for all ages – no explicit lyrics or inappropriate themes.
  • Limited to 90 seconds – contestants can select a song segment or create a mashup.
  • Focused on audience involvement – interaction, energy, and fun count big in scoring!

Q: Can I perform in a group instead of solo? A: Absolutely! Duos and group performances are welcome. 
Q: Do I need a professional video for submission? A: No! Just have fun and make sure your lip sync is clear and energetic.
Q: What happens if I’m selected but can’t make it? A: Please notify the organizers ASAP so another contestant can take your spot.
Q: Can I use props or costumes? A: Yes, you’re encouraged to bring props and dress up for maximum impact!
Q: Can I change my song after being selected? A: Yes, but you must confirm your final song choice by June 25th, 2025.
